in brief
Edita Group helps its customers communicate more effectively and provides them with reliable printed and digital information.
The Group consists of three business areas:
- Edita Prima specializes in technology and production services for customer communication of companies and organizations.
- Edita Legal Information provides legal information experts with the latest legal professional information in the form of online services, training and books.
- Edita Learning provides high-quality learning materials and training in the field of teaching and education to support learning and teaching.

Reporting period in brief
During the financial period, Edita Group consisted of three business areas: Edita Prima, Edita Legal Information and Edita Learning. In addition, the Group includes the parent company Edita Group Plc, which provides administrative services to the subsidiaries. During the comparative period, the Group also included the Nordic Morning business area, which was divested on 31 January 2022.
The Edita Legal Information and Edita Learning business areas were part of Edita Publishing Oy until 31 December 2023. Edita Publishing Oy was partially demerged on 31 December 2023. The Edita Legal Information business area remained in Edita Publishing Oy, which was renamed Edita Lakitieto Oy. The Edita Learning business area was transferred to Edita Oppiminen Oy, established during the financial period.
Edita Group Plc sold its industrial real estate property in Helsinki in June 2023. Of the Group’s subsidiaries, Edita Prima Oy will continue its production at the property.
After the sale, the Group no longer has real estate holdings.
Reporting in accordance with FAS
The Group’s reporting period was exceptionally 18 months for the second time in a row or 1 July 2022 – 31 December 2023. As of the financial year beginning on 1 January 2024, the Group and all its subsidiaries will adopt financial years corresponding to the calendar year.
Edita Group began to comply with the Finnish Accounting Standards (FAS) also in the consolidated financial statements. Previously, the consolidated financial statements were prepared in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). All figures for the financial period and the comparative period are presented in accordance with FAS standards in this Annual Report.
During the reporting period, we were financially highly successful. Even in challenging times, the key factors of our success are knowing our customers, customer satisfaction, and ongoing dialogue with our customers.
