Year 2021 – the first half of 2022

Edita Prima continued its growth, and the reporting period was strong in the company’s business as a whole. In addition to strong growth, profitability was excellent.

Investments in digital services paid off, and the company concluded new significant customer agreements in customer communications technology services, asset management services and election services. In addition to digital services, the volume and net revenue of transactional printing also increased, which made the reporting period very successful overall.

As part of the continuous development of operations, we conduct an annual customer satisfaction survey. In the survey conducted in the fall of 2023, our customers evaluated Edita Prima’s reliability, expertise and quality of services very positively. In addition, Edita Prima’s cooperation and communication with customers was perceived as smooth and pleasant. On a scale of 1 to 10, the average customer rating for these areas was 9. The survey also measured our customers’ willingness to recommend us as a service provider. The NPS score has developed positively for several years and now reached a new record of 77.

During the reporting period, we continued to develop and strengthen our culture. Employee commitment and satisfaction were measured in three smaller pulse surveys as well as a more extensive employee survey conducted in spring 2023. This survey had a total of five different areas, and the personnel evaluated the content of their own work tasks, managerial work and the company’s customer centricity in a particularly positive way. The numerical rating received by all areas was more than 4 on a scale of 1 to 5. The overall score of the employee survey was good, 3,97.

The importance of a high level of information security in business has grown steadily. We commissioned an information security management system at the beginning of 2022 and in the fall of the same year we received an external ISO/IEC 27001 certification for our system.

The Group-wide sustainability strategy was updated during the reporting period. The new strategy is based on the widely used ESG model, where the areas of responsibility are environmental responsibility, social responsibility and good governance. The international EcoVadis organization carried out Edita Prima’s sustainability assessment for the first time in summer 2023. EcoVadis awarded Edita Prima’s sustainability efforts the Gold rating, reached by only 5% of the more than 75,000 companies assessed globally by EcoVadis. Edita Prima has been a climate-neutral company since 2010, and during the financial year we published annual environmental and climate reports.

Future prospects

In June 2023, Edita Group Plc announced the sale of its subsidiary Edita Prima to the Nordic communications solutions provider PostNord Strålfors. At that time, it was noted that the transaction is conditional  on the approval of the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (“FCCA”). Based on the information that emerged during the FCCA process, the parties canceled the transaction at the beginning of 2024 by joint decision. Edita Prima will continue to operate as part of the Edita Group as before.

The company has increased its share in the challenging transaction printing market and digital customer communication services will continue to grow. With good and long-term customer relationships, the company looks positively forward to 2024.
